Step 3 — Build → Firestore Database → Create database → Start in test mode → region us-east1 → Done.
Step 4 — Click ⚙ Firebase button in app header → paste Project ID and API key → Test → Save & connect.
Step 5 (hosting) — Install Node.js → npm install -g firebase-tools → firebase login → firebase init hosting → place all files in the public folder → firebase deploy.
